I've more-or-less just hopped right into Metroid Prime 2. I'm emulating it because there isn't a remaster and while I have Trilogy (a rerelease of all three games on the Wii), the Wii U is in my sister's room and that didn't have power for most of today. It's more convenient for me to just play at my desk anyway so whatever. After having done all of Agon Wastes today, I can say with confidence that younger me is a fucking dumbass. I remember getting like, super lost with no idea of where to go after the Jump Guardian, when where to go is obvious if you think for even just a moment. You hop onto that statue that you couldn't jump onto before. Granted it's not exactly on the critical path but it's in the same damn room as the critical path and there's an area with some lore you can clearly see so like. Idk I'm gonna stop rambling about this and go to bed.
